Does your child dream of caring for animals or becoming a zookeeper when they grow up? At the Reptarium, they don’t have to wait! They can experience a day in the life of a Reptarium zookeeper! Location: 45559 Van Dyke Ave, Utica, MI 48317. Please use the middle doors for check-in. Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm Who Can Join: Designed for aspiring young zookeepers aged 8 to 12. Activities Include: Food Prep Station – Get hands-on preparing fresh meals for our animal residents, including a special treat for our turtles! Learn about the diets of various animals and how food is tailored to meet their unique nutritional needs. Learn about the connection between feeding and animal care while helping maintain the health of our pond residents and other creatures. Education Station: Step into the Educator Room for a personalized experience with our expert Animal Educators. Spend time up close with some of our fascinating creatures, learning about their behaviors, habitats, and care requirements. It’s an opportunity for in-depth animal interactions and expert insight into the lives of the animals in our care. Snake Weighing & Measurement – Take part in our snake health monitoring session! Help weigh and measure our snake friends as part of our routine health checks. Understand how important it is to track growth and well-being, and gain a deeper appreciation for these incredible reptiles. A hands-on opportunity to assist with essential animal care! Alligator Handling Station – Learn the best practices for safely interact with baby alligators, guided by experienced handlers. This station offers a safe and controlled environment to learn about alligator care, behavior, and the crucial role they play in our ecosystem.
