Harsens Island Research Adventure

Detroit Outdoors hosts a multi-day research adventure at Algonac State Park for students ages 16–20. Participants will work alongside outdoor educators, researchers and guides to study black terns and aquatic ecosystems in the Saint Clair Flats through bird monitoring, aquatic plant sampling and nocturnal wildlife research. The program also emphasizes teamwork, communication, resilience and place-based learning.
